Here are my pics. I’ll break mine down to who I want to win and who I think will win if they differ!

New Artist of the Year – Sam Hunt has this award locked up with his HUGE debut year, however, I have a different pic I think should win. Chris Stapleton might not be a name you imediatly recognise but the songs he has helped write sure will be, Your Man Josh Turner, Comeback Song Darius Rucker, Loves Gonna Make It George Strait, Drink A Beer Luke Bryan, and Crash and Burn Thomas Rhett just to name a few! Chris’s Debut album Traveler, is one of my top three albums in the last year. I’d be floored if Sam doesn’t run away with the award, and he deserves it,  but Chris is a HELL-OF-AN artist!

Album of the Year – Jason Aldean Old Boots New Dirt – This was one of Jason’s best selling albums and had huge radio success. That said… from the nominees again I’d vote Chris Stapleton Traveler. This album was lyrically superior to all the albums with maybe Kacey Musgraves also being up there, Traveler has been on steady play for me ever since it came out.

Female Vocalist of the Year – Miranda Lambert – Its hard to argue that any of the deserving ladies nominated here had a bigger and definitely crazier year than Miranda! Kelsea is definitely setting herself up for a promising future, Kacey is on of my favorites, and I’m pretty sure we just go ahead and put Carrie’s name on the award for next year, but once again I think the year belonged to Miranda.

Male Vocalist of the Year – Bluke Churchley? – This is a dead heat! All these guys are pretty deserving of the title. Obviously I really like Chris but I don’t think he’s quite there yet. As for the other four guys… none would surprise me and I’m surprised Kenny isnt in the mix too! I really hope this is the year that Dierks Bentley finally gets it! After Kick The Dust Up, I’ll just be happy if Luke doesn’t win!

Entertainer of the Year – Garth Brooks – I really dont feel this needs much explaining or debating! In a year that saw attendance fall for live shows, Garth constantly sells out shows coast to coast!

Single of the Year (Given to the songs writer) – Girl Crush – To me the initial controversy that this song caused is praise to the play on words in the lyrics. Obviously the song was a huge smash that crossed over to other formats in addition to country. I’d have to give second to I Don’t Dance.

Music Video of the Year – Something In the Water Carrie Underwood – Its hard to ever think that Carrie isn’t going to win this category when she is nominated! My pick is different though, I really like how they did Maddie and Tae Girl in a Country Song. I thought the video was fun and made the industry take a look at how the ladies felt they were being portrayed in all the guys songs and videos!

Song of the Year – Girl Crush Little Big Town – Its hard to say any other song was bigger this year despite not getting to #1 on the Media Base chart. It seemed like for a month this song was everywhere! Personally as a guy who’s fiance has to go on the road for weeks at a time I pick Like a Wreaking Ball Eric Church though. I think Eric was able to make a supper sexy song while keeping it classy that really spoke to folks that have to be away from their significant others for extended periods of time…

Musical Event of the Year – Wild Child Kenny Chesney and Grace Porter – I think this will take it purely on your requests for the song! This is another award this year where I don’t think there is a clear cut winner though.  I think Blake and Ashley did a great job with Lonely Tonight and could see them getting the nod. However, my vote is going elsewhere! I really liked the Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard Django and Jimmie. It was fun to listen to this album that you could just hear the fun these friends had making this album. Really hope their tour comes this way!

Vocal Duo of the Year – Florida Georgia Line – I think BK and Tyler are going to have this spot wrapped up for a few years! They’ve got the radio success, album success, and headlining tour success. I’ve actually been able to meet all the nominees and they are all great folks! Personally I’m really excited to see what Brothers Osborn bring to the category next year with the release of their debut album Pawn Shop in January.

Vocal Group of the Year – Little Big Town / Rascal Flatts – I make two pick here because I’m not sure how much of a hit LBT take with having to put their touring on hold at the height of the Girl Crush explosion. Rascal Flatt had a solid year with a successful tour and some big radio hits. I’m going to put my vote with Little Big Town. Their Pain Killer album is solid and despite the hick-up, made most of the tour dates up for the fans.

So where do you think I’m right and where do you think I couldnt be more wrong? LET ME KNOW BELLOW!
